How to make high resolution PDF files:

1. Adobe Acrobat Distiller 4.0 or higher must be installed on your working station.

Lay-out: use only Adobe Acrobat Distiller (never PDF writer) in order to make PDF files. PDFWriter isn’t an PostScript compatible program and isn’t useful to make good PDF files.

2. Create for each page an Postscript file of your document by an Postscript driver.

3. Afterwards start Adobe Acrobat Distiller and choose the right profile of the Job Options menu.

4. After this open the made Postscript print file and save him as an PDF file.

5. Check the PDF file afterwards visual with Acrobat Reader.

Under the buttons next to here, the right parameters of the configuration of Adobe Acrobat Distiller 4 for Newspapers Magazins and Commercial printings are given. These parameters can be put into the Settings menu Job Options. Set the parameters as given and save them by “Save As” ... Afterwards leave the screen with the Cancel button. Now you can choose for the made profile in the Distiller’s Job Options menu.
